United States to Israel visa requirements

US ordinary passport holders do not need a traditional visa for short tourist or business visits to Israel, but they must obtain an approved ETA-IL before travel. The ETA-IL authorizes travel but does not guarantee admission: Israeli border officials retain final discretion and all travelers can face immigration and security screening, including questioning or searches. US-Israeli dual citizens do not apply for ETA-IL and should enter Israel with an Israeli passport.
