United States to Indonesia visa requirements

U.S. ordinary passport holders need an Indonesian visa, but short tourist visits can use the eVOA or visa on arrival: IDR 500,000 for up to 30 days, extendable once. United States ordinary passport holders are eligible for Indonesia's electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA/Visitor Visa) or visa on arrival for short visits. The official eVisa site lists the United States as an eligible nationality, and the U.S. State Department says U.S. travelers need a visa or Visa on Arrival (eVOA). The eVOA/Visitor Visa is single-entry, costs IDR 500,000 plus any card or service fee, permits a 30-day stay from arrival, and can be extended once for another 30 days. It is valid for use within 90 days after issue. Allowed purposes include tourism, visiting family or friends, government visits, business meetings, shopping, goods purchasing, and transit; employment, selling goods or services, receiving wages from an Indonesian person or company, and speaker activities are not allowed on this visitor route. Travelers need a passport valid at least six months from arrival, two blank visa pages, an outbound ticket, and sufficient funds if asked. The All Indonesia arrival card is also required within three days before arrival. For 60-day tourism or other visit purposes, use the appropriate eVisa/visit visa category instead of relying on a VoA/eVOA. Overstays can lead to IDR 1,000,000 per day fines, deportation, detention, or future entry bans.
