Official guidance expects ETIAS in the last quarter of 2026. Apply online before travel once available. The fee is €20 for most applicants, with exemptions for under-18s, over-70s, and some family members of EU/free-movement beneficiaries. France Diplomatie says authorizations are issued within a maximum of 96 hours unless further checks are needed.
