Yes, a visa is required. Taiwan (Republic of China) ordinary passport holders cannot enter Yemen visa-free or get a visa on arrival, and they are not covered by Yemen's limited eVisa channel. A visa must be arranged in advance, in practice through a Yemen-accredited travel agency that submits the application to the Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority and arranges sticker-visa collection at a Yemeni mission. As of 2026, Taiwan ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Yemen for tourism. Yemen grants visa-free entry only to Hong Kong SAR passport holders and visa-on-arrival to 11 mostly Arab/regional nationalities (Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE) - Taiwan is on neither list.
