Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Timor-Leste visa requirements

Taiwan ordinary passport holders are NOT visa-exempt for Timor-Leste, but can obtain a 30-day tourist visa on arrival (USD 30) when entering by air at Dili airport. A Taiwan (TW) ordinary passport holder traveling to Timor-Leste (East Timor) for tourism does not qualify for visa-free entry. Taiwan is not on Timor-Leste's visa-exemption list. However, air travelers of nationalities that are not visa-exempt may obtain a Tourist Visa on Arrival at Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili (or the Dili Sea Port). The visa on arrival costs USD 30, is single-entry, and permits a stay of up to 30 days, extendable once for a further 30 days if applied for at least 15 days before expiry. Timor-Leste is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Important: visa on arrival is available only when arriving by air (or sea at Dili). It is NOT available at the land border with Indonesia (Batugade/Mota'ain) - overland entrants must obtain a Visa Application Authorization in advance from the Timor-Leste Consulate in Kupang, Indonesia. The visa fee is payable in cash (USD); ATM/exchange facilities at the airport are limited, so carry USD cash. Passport must be valid for at least six months from arrival with at least one blank page.
