Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to India visa requirements

Taiwan ordinary passport holders need a visa for India, but Taiwan is on India's official e-Visa eligible list. For tourism, apply online for an Indian e-Tourist Visa before travel. There is no visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival route for Taiwan passport holders. As of 2026-06-29, Taiwan ordinary passport holders are eligible for India's online e-Visa system, including the e-Tourist Visa used for tourism, recreation, casual visits, short non-formal courses, short voluntary work, and similar permitted visitor purposes. India does not grant visa-free entry to Taiwan passport holders, and the official Visa-on-Arrival page limits VOA to Japan, South Korea, and qualifying UAE nationals, so Taiwan travelers should obtain an e-Visa or regular visa before departure. Apply only through the official India Visa Online e-Visa portal; the ETA/visa status is emailed and the e-Visa is stamped in the passport at an authorized Indian immigration checkpoint. The current official e-Tourist fee table lists Taiwan at USD 10 for a 30-day eTV in April-June, USD 25 for a 30-day eTV in July-March, USD 40 for a 1-year eTV, and USD 200 for a 5-year eTV, plus a 3% bank charge. Apply at least 4 days before arrival; 30-day eTV applications can be made up to 30 days before travel, while 1-year and 5-year eTV applications can be made up to 120 days before travel. The e-Visa portal states that 1-year and 5-year e-Tourist Visa stays in India must not exceed 180 days during one calendar year; travelers should follow the stay limit shown on the ETA/passport stamp for each entry. Entry on e-Visa is limited to the official list of 33 airports and 19 seaports, while departure is allowed from any Indian Immigration Check Post. Applicants need a passport valid at least 6 months, two blank pages, a digital photo, passport bio-page scan, return or onward travel, and sufficient funds.
