Türkiye to Cyprus visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit the Republic of Cyprus for tourism. You must apply in advance for a national Category C short-stay visa at a Cyprus embassy or consulate; there is no eVisa, visa-on-arrival, or visa-free entry for Turkish citizens. A Turkey ordinary passport holder must obtain a short-stay (Category C) visa before traveling to the Republic of Cyprus for tourism. Cyprus is a European Union member but is NOT part of the Schengen Area (it has stated an intention to join, potentially during 2026, but had not joined as of June 2026). Because Cyprus is outside Schengen, the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not yet govern entry; a Cyprus national visa is required. Critically, while Cyprus unilaterally lets holders of valid multiple-entry Schengen visas enter for short stays, Turkish nationals are SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED from this facility, so a Schengen visa is NOT a substitute. Turkish citizens therefore cannot enter visa-free, cannot use a Schengen visa, and there is no eVisa or visa-on-arrival channel for the Republic of Cyprus. The visa must be obtained from the Cyprus diplomatic mission (embassy/consulate). The Category C visa permits a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, the fee is harmonized with Schengen at around EUR 90, and processing typically takes 7-15 working days. Note: this concerns the internationally recognized Republic of Cyprus (entry via Larnaca or Paphos airports and government-controlled ports); the self-declared 'TRNC' in the north operates separate, more lenient entry rules for Turkish nationals but is not a recognized state and entry there is not a legal entry into the Republic of Cyprus.
