Thailand to Mali visa requirements

A Thailand ordinary passport holder needs a visa to visit Mali for tourism. The most practical option is the Mali eVisa, applied for online before travel; a paper visa from a Malian embassy/consulate is the alternative. There is no visa-free or general visa-on-arrival channel for Thai nationals. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. Mali requires Thai citizens to obtain a visa in advance; there is no reciprocal visa waiver. Mali launched an online eVisa system (via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal, diplomatiemdc.gouv.ml), which is the recommended route for short tourist visits. The eVisa is a short-stay visa typically allowing up to 90 days, issued as single entry. Applicants must submit a passport copy, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, a letter of invitation or hotel reservation, and arrival/departure flight details, then pay by the accepted method; the authorization is generally issued within a few days up to about two weeks. Travelers without internet access or who prefer in-person service can apply at a Malian embassy or consulate (Mali has no embassy in Bangkok, so applications are typically routed to a Malian mission accredited to Thailand or a regional one). Mali is in West Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for all travelers over nine months to one year of age, and significant security restrictions affect travel within Mali.
