Thailand to Kuwait visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Kuwait for tourism. Thailand is NOT among the 53 countries eligible for Kuwait's eVisa or visa on arrival, so Thai citizens must apply in advance through the Embassy of Kuwait in Bangkok before travel. As of 2026, a Thailand (TH) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Kuwait without a visa arranged before departure. Kuwait offers a visa-on-arrival / eVisa facility to citizens of 53 countries and territories (mostly EU/Schengen, the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and a few others) — Thailand is not on this list. The only practical route for a Thai tourist is a paper visit/tourist visa obtained in advance from the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Bangkok. The applicant generally needs a passport valid at least six months, a completed application, photos, confirmed return/onward tickets, hotel booking or a Kuwaiti sponsor/inviter, and proof of funds. Note that Kuwaiti visit visas in practice often require a Kuwaiti sponsor (an individual resident or a company), which makes pure leisure tourism harder than in many neighboring Gulf states. Kuwait is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel exists for Thai nationals and a non-official site claiming broad eVisa eligibility conflicts with official/authoritative sources, the conservative and correct verdict is visa-required.
