Singapore to Suriname visa requirements

Singapore ordinary passport holders do not need a traditional visa for short tourist visits to Suriname, but they must obtain a paid online Entry Fee / e-Tourist Card (travel authorization) via the official VFS Global e-platform before departure. It is mandatory for visa-exempt travelers and must be shown on arrival, so plan to apply online a few days ahead. Suriname operates a hybrid entry system. Since 1 May 2023, most nationalities, including Singapore, no longer need a paper/sticker visa for tourism or family visits of up to 90 days, but they are required to pay a mandatory Entry Fee online before arrival. This is processed through VFS Global, the Government of Suriname's official and authorized e-Visa/e-Tourist Card partner, and produces a digital authorization (often called the e-Tourist Card or Entry Fee confirmation) that must be presented at the airport. Because entry is conditional on a fee-bearing online pre-arrival authorization issued through the official e-platform, the practical channel for a Singapore tourist is best classified as an eVisa-style entry rather than free visa-free walk-up entry. The single-entry option is valid for 90 days for a stay of up to 90 days; a multiple-entry option valid up to one year is also available. A passport valid at least six months, a return/onward ticket, and the new digital Immigration & Customs Form (ICF) are also required. Suriname is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should always confirm current fees and rules on the official VFS Global Suriname portal before booking, as fee tiers and service charges have changed in recent years.
