🇸🇬SINGAPORE🇳🇿NEW ZEALANDSG-NZ Do Singapore passport holders need a visa to visit New Zealand?
Singapore passport holders do not need a visa for tourism in New Zealand, but they MUST obtain an NZeTA (Electronic Travel Authority) before travelling and pay the International Visitor Levy (IVL). This allows a stay of up to 3 months. Singapore is on New Zealand's visa-waiver list, so Singapore ordinary passport holders do not need a visitor visa for short tourist stays. However, since October 2019 all visa-waiver travellers must request a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) online or via the official app before boarding, and since 1 October 2024 they also pay the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL), now NZD $100. The NZeTA costs NZD $17 via the mobile app or NZD $23 via the website; the IVL is collected at the same time, making the total NZD $117 (app) or NZD $123 (website). An NZeTA is valid for 2 years or until the passport expires, allows multiple visits, and each visit can be up to 3 months. Most NZeTAs are approved within minutes, but Immigration New Zealand advises allowing up to 72 hours. Passports must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date, and travellers should hold an onward/return ticket and proof of sufficient funds (NZD $1,000 per month, or NZD $400 if accommodation is prepaid).
