Singapore to Nigeria visa requirements

Singapore ordinary passport holders need a visa for Nigeria. Since 1 May 2025, Nigeria discontinued visa-on-arrival and now requires an e-Visa (Tourism Visa F5A) applied for online before travel via the official Nigeria Immigration Service portal. A Singapore (SG) ordinary passport holder cannot travel to Nigeria visa-free. Nigeria requires a visa from all non-ECOWAS nationals, and Singapore has no visa-waiver agreement with Nigeria. As of 2026, the route is handled through Nigeria's e-Visa system, which launched on 1 March 2025 and fully replaced the former visa-on-arrival (VoA) scheme on 1 May 2025. For tourism, the relevant category is the Tourism Visa (F5A), available as an e-Visa to nationals of the 177 eligible countries, which includes Singapore. The application is made entirely online at evisa.immigration.gov.ng: applicants complete the form, upload a valid passport (6+ months validity), passport photo, return/onward ticket, hotel reservation or host details, and a recent bank statement, then pay the fees online. The Tourism Visa F5A is a single-entry visa valid for 90 days from issuance, permitting a stay of up to 30 days and is not extendable; it is for tourism only with no employment. Decisions are typically returned by email within 24-48 hours (some channels quote 3-5 business days). Travellers must also complete Nigeria's digital Landing and Exit Cards and carry a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Nigeria's immigration (visa) fee is gratis for Singapore nationals on a reciprocity basis, but a service fee and a biometric fee still apply, putting the realistic all-in cost in the region of USD 170-300. Because sources show some fee variation and Nigeria changed its policy recently, travellers should confirm the exact current fee on the official portal at application time. There is no visa-free, ETA or VoA channel for Singaporeans, so the verdict is e-Visa (visa required, obtained online in advance).
