Do Singapore passport holders need a visa to visit IE?
No visa required. Singapore passport holders can enter Ireland visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. Singapore ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to visit Ireland for tourism or short business trips of up to 90 days. Singapore is on Ireland's list of non-visa-required (visa-exempt) nationalities. Important: Ireland is NOT part of the Schengen Area and sets its own immigration policy, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do NOT apply to a trip to Ireland. The forthcoming EU ETIAS travel authorisation (expected late 2026) will not be required for Ireland because Ireland is outside Schengen. At the border, an immigration officer grants permission to land; you should carry a passport valid for the duration of your stay, proof of onward/return travel, evidence of sufficient funds, and accommodation details. There is no fee for visa-free entry. This route was verified against the Embassy of Ireland in Singapore, the Irish Immigration Service, Singapore's MFA, and Ireland's Citizens Information service.
