🇸🇬SINGAPORE🇪🇸SPAIN (SCHENGEN)SG-ES Do Singapore passport holders need a visa to visit Spain (Schengen)?
Singapore ordinary passport holders can travel to Spain visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. No visa is required as of 30 May 2026. Spain is part of the Schengen Area, and Singapore is on the EU's list of visa-exempt nationalities. A Singapore ordinary passport holder may enter Spain and the wider Schengen zone for tourism, business, or family visits without a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the planned departure date and issued within the previous 10 years. Travelers should be prepared to show proof of accommodation, return/onward tickets, sufficient funds, and travel medical insurance at the border. Two systems are changing how visa-free travelers enter: the Entry/Exit System (EES), which began a phased rollout on 12 October 2025 and reached full implementation on 10 April 2026, now records biometrics (fingerprints and facial image) at the border in place of passport stamps. Separately, the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is expected to launch in late 2026 and become mandatory in early 2027; once live, Singaporeans will need an approved ETIAS (EUR 20, valid 3 years) before boarding. As of 30 May 2026, ETIAS is NOT yet required, so the route remains visa-free.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
