Do Singapore passport holders need a visa to visit CH?

Singapore ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Switzerland. You may stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. As of 30 May 2026, ETIAS is not yet operational; it is expected to become mandatory in the last quarter of 2026. Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area, and Singapore is a visa-exempt country. Singaporean citizens with an ordinary passport can enter Switzerland visa-free for tourism, business, family visits or short studies, for a maximum of 90 days in any rolling 180-day period (counted cumulatively across all Schengen states, not just Switzerland). You must hold a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure (6 months recommended) with at least two blank pages. Border officers may ask for proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, sufficient funds (around CHF 100 per day) and travel medical insurance covering at least EUR 30,000. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026; once live, visa-exempt travellers including Singaporeans must obtain an approved ETIAS (EUR 20, valid 3 years) before travel. ETIAS is NOT yet in operation as of 30 May 2026, so no pre-travel authorisation is currently required.
