Saudi Arabia to South Africa visa requirements

No visa is required. Saudi Arabian ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt for South Africa and may enter for tourism or short visits of up to 90 days. The visitor's stamp is issued free at the port of entry; no advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival fee applies. Saudi Arabia is listed on South Africa's official Department of Home Affairs visa-exemption schedule (Category 2: "Saudi Arabia – only ordinary passport holders"), granting holders of an ordinary Saudi passport visa-free entry for an intended stay of 90 days or less, including transit. On arrival an immigration officer issues a free visitor's visa (entry stamp) under section 11(1)(a) of the Immigration Act; there is no advance application, no eVisa, and no fee. The traveller must satisfy standard entry conditions: a passport valid at least 30 days beyond the intended departure date (South Africa's statutory minimum; many airlines and best practice recommend 6 months) with at least two blank pages, proof of onward or return travel, sufficient funds, and accommodation details. South Africa is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. The 90-day exemption is per visit and is granted at the discretion of the immigration officer, who may grant a shorter period.
