Saudi Arabia to Nigeria visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Nigeria for tourism. Since 1 May 2025, Nigeria runs a fully electronic visa (e-Visa) system, so Saudi tourists apply online for a Tourism Visa (F5A) before travel rather than getting a visa on arrival. Approval typically arrives within 24-48 hours by email. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for Saudi Arabian ordinary passport holders traveling to Nigeria. Saudi Arabia is not an ECOWAS member and has no visa-waiver agreement with Nigeria, so a visa is mandatory. On 1 May 2025 Nigeria replaced its legacy visa-on-arrival regime with a fully online e-Visa platform (evisa.immigration.gov.ng) operated by the Nigeria Immigration Service. The relevant category for a short tourist visit is the Tourism Visa (F5A): a single-entry visa valid 90 days from issuance, permitting a stay of up to 30 days, strictly for tourism (no employment). Applicants submit the form online, upload a passport valid at least 6 months, a photo, return ticket, hotel/host details and bank statement, pay the fee online, and receive a QR-coded approval by email, usually within 24-48 hours. Travelers also complete a digital arrival card. Fees are charged in USD and vary by reciprocity tier (roughly USD 50-160); Saudi/Gulf nationals fall in a mid-range tier. The verdict is e-Visa; do not assume visa-on-arrival as that route has been phased out for most travelers.
