New Zealand to India visa requirements

New Zealand ordinary passport holders need an Indian visa before travel; tourism e-Visa fees are USD 10/25 for 30 days, USD 40 for 1 year, or USD 200 for 5 years, plus a 3% bank charge. New Zealand ordinary passport holders need a valid Indian visa before travel unless they hold an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card. The High Commission of India in Wellington says New Zealand nationals can apply for India's e-Visa categories through the official Government of India portal, indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa; use only the official site. The official 20 February 2026 e-Tourist fee table lists New Zealand at USD 10 for a 30-day e-Tourist Visa in April-June, USD 25 for a 30-day e-Tourist Visa in July-March, USD 40 for a 1-year e-Tourist Visa, and USD 200 for a 5-year e-Tourist Visa; a 3% bank charge is added. The 30-day e-Tourist Visa is valid for 30 days from first arrival and allows double entry. The 1-year and 5-year e-Tourist Visas are multiple-entry from ETA grant; for New Zealanders the continuous stay is limited to 90 days per visit and aggregate stay in India should not exceed 180 days in a calendar year. Apply at least 4 days before arrival, within the official window: up to 30 days ahead for 30-day eTVs or up to 120 days ahead for 1-year/5-year eTVs and other e-Visa categories. e-Visas are non-extendable and non-convertible and can be used only through the listed e-Visa airports and seaports. Foreigners and OCI cardholders can submit the e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arrival; it is arrival information, not a visa.
