India to New Zealand visa requirements

Indian passport holders need a New Zealand Visitor Visa before travel; NZeTA does not apply to ordinary Indian visitors. INZ lists Visitor Visa cost from NZD 441 and 80% processing within 2 weeks. Indian passport holders are not on New Zealand's visa-waiver list, so a Visitor Visa must be approved before travel unless another specific visa category applies. The NZeTA route is for visa-waiver citizens, cruise passengers, Australian permanent residents, and a few narrow transit/visitor cases; it is not the normal route for Indian citizens flying to New Zealand as tourists. Immigration New Zealand lists the Visitor Visa cost from NZD 441 and says 80% of applications are decided within 2 weeks. A visitor visa can allow up to 6 or 9 months depending on the grant, does not allow work, and allows study for up to 3 months. Passports should remain valid for at least 3 months after the planned departure from New Zealand. Most international visitors also pay the NZD 100 International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy with the visa or NZeTA process. Everyone entering New Zealand must complete the free New Zealand Traveller Declaration; air travellers can submit it from 24 hours before starting the journey.
