Netherlands to Dominican Republic visa requirements

No visa needed. Netherlands passport holders can enter the Dominican Republic visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days, but must complete the free online E-Ticket before arrival and departure. A Netherlands (NL) ordinary passport holder does not need a visa for a short tourist visit to the Dominican Republic (DO). As an EU/Schengen national, you are granted visa-free entry for tourism, with an initial permitted stay of 30 days that can be extended in-country up to a total of 120 days for a fee. The only mandatory pre-arrival formality is the free electronic E-Ticket (migration form), completed online within 72 hours / up to a few days before travel, which generates a QR code shown at check-in and at the border. The US$10 tourist card fee is now bundled into the airline ticket price for air arrivals, so most travelers do not pay it separately. Under an exceptional measure in force until 31 December 2026, EU passports need only be valid for the duration of the stay (the usual six-months-beyond-stay rule is waived during this window); after that date the standard validity rule is expected to return. Overstaying beyond your authorized period results in a sliding-scale fine paid on departure. The Dominican Republic is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route.
