Malaysia to Paraguay visa requirements

Malaysian ordinary passport holders can visit Paraguay visa-free for tourism, with stays of up to 30 days. This follows a visa-exemption arrangement that took effect on 30 December 2025. Carry a passport valid at least six months, a return or onward ticket, and proof of accommodation and funds. As of mid-2026, Malaysia ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist trips to Paraguay. Paraguay added Malaysia to its list of visa-exempt nationalities, with the exemption taking effect on 30 December 2025, granting Malaysians visa-free entry for up to 30 days. This is corroborated by Wikipedia's "Visa policy of Paraguay" and "Visa requirements for Malaysian citizens" pages; the access is broadly reciprocal, as Malaysia also grants Paraguayan citizens 30 days visa-free. Note that several commercial visa-agency aggregator sites still describe Paraguay as "visa-required" for Malaysians — that information pre-dates the December 2025 change and is outdated. At the border, travelers receive a transitory (tourist) entry stamp. No visa fee or advance application is involved. Travelers should still carry a passport valid for at least six months beyond arrival, evidence of onward/return travel, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds, as Paraguayan immigration officers may request these. Paraguay is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because bilateral visa arrangements can change, verify with the Paraguayan Directorate of Migration (migraciones.gov.py) or the nearest Paraguayan diplomatic mission shortly before travel.
