No. As of 30 May 2026, ETIAS is not yet operational. It is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026, after which Malaysians will need it before travel.

EUR 20 per application once it launches. It is free for applicants under 18 or over 70, and an authorisation is valid for up to 3 years or until your passport expires.

Q: Can I work in Poland visa-free?

No. Visa-free entry is for tourism, visits and short business only. Employment requires a work permit and appropriate visa.

Malaysian ordinary passport holders can visit Poland visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism. Poland is in the Schengen Area. Poland is a member of the Schengen Area, and Malaysia is on the EU's visa-exempt list for short stays. A Malaysian ordinary passport holder may enter Poland and the wider Schengen zone without a visa for tourism, family visits or short business, for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. No visa or eVisa is required for these short stays. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date (and issued within the last 10 years), proof of accommodation, a return/onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds and travel insurance, which border officers may request. Note an upcoming change: the EU's ETIAS travel authorisation is scheduled to launch in the last quarter of 2026. As of 30 May 2026 it is NOT yet required, but once operational (expected Q4 2026, with a transitional grace period into 2027) Malaysians will need a €20 ETIAS authorisation before traveling. ETIAS is a pre-travel authorisation, not a visa.
