Malaysia to South Korea visa requirements

Visa-free up to 3 months for short visits. K-ETA is required before boarding for Malaysian adults unless an exemption applies. Malaysian ordinary passport holders can visit South Korea without a visa for short-term tourism, visiting relatives, events, conferences, or business purposes with no commercial activities for up to 03 months. Malaysia appears on the official K-ETA eligible countries page with an allowed stay of 03 months. Korea's temporary K-ETA exemption through 31 December 2026 applies only to designated countries and regions, and VisitKorea's 21 April 2026 list does not include Malaysia. Malaysian travelers who are not otherwise exempt should obtain K-ETA approval before boarding. K-ETA costs KRW 10,000 plus an online payment fee, is usually assessed within 72 hours but can take longer, and is valid for 3 years or until passport expiry, whichever is earlier. Valid K-ETA holders do not submit an arrival card or e-Arrival Card; short-term foreign nationals without K-ETA approval generally need to submit an arrival declaration, and the official e-Arrival Card can be submitted free within 3 days before arrival. For stays beyond the visa-free period, work, study, or paid/commercial activities, apply for the appropriate visa before travel.
