Malaysia to Czechia visa requirements

Malaysian ordinary passport holders can visit Czechia visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism. No visa or ETIAS is required as of 30 May 2026. Czechia is part of the Schengen Area, and Malaysian ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism, business, or family visits. No visa needs to be obtained before travel. The European travel authorisation ETIAS is not yet operational — the EU has confirmed it will launch only in the last quarter of 2026 — so it is NOT required for trips taken on or before 30 May 2026. Once ETIAS goes live, Malaysian travellers will need to apply online for a ~EUR 20 authorisation before departure. At the border, travellers must hold a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure date, and may be asked to show proof of sufficient funds, onward/return tickets, accommodation, and travel medical insurance covering the Schengen Area (minimum EUR 30,000). Note that the 90-day clock is shared across the entire Schengen Area, not just Czechia. Visitors are also technically required to register with the Czech Foreign Police within 3 days of arrival, though hotels normally handle this for guests.
