Mexico to Liberia visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa for Liberia, but can obtain it through the official electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) system. Apply online at visaonarrival.lis.gov.lr before departure, get pre-approval, and the visa is issued on arrival at Monrovia. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. Liberia is not in the Schengen area and Mexico is not on Liberia's short list of visa-exempt countries (only ECOWAS members and a few neighboring West African states are exempt). Mexican citizens therefore require a visa. Since there is no Liberian embassy in Mexico, Mexicans qualify for Liberia's electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), launched on 11 March 2025 and operated by the Liberia Immigration Service. Travelers must apply online at the official portal (visaonarrival.lis.gov.lr) before flying, submit a passport scan and a photo, pay USD 102.50, and receive an emailed approval/QR code. The physical visa is stamped on arrival at Roberts International Airport (Monrovia). The online pre-approval is valid for 3 months for a single entry; the actual length of stay (30 or 90 days) is set by the immigration officer at the airport. A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry. Note that the 23 countries that host a Liberian embassy (e.g. USA, UK, France, China, Japan) must use embassy channels instead; Mexico is not among them, so the e-VOA route applies.
