Mexico to Kuwait visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa arranged BEFORE traveling to Kuwait. Mexico is not on Kuwait's 53-country visa-on-arrival/eVisa list, and the online eVisa service has been suspended since late 2024. A visit visa normally requires a Kuwaiti sponsor (resident, company, or hotel) or a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) coordinated through a contact in Kuwait, then issuance via the Kuwaiti embassy/consulate or the sponsor's local immigration application. As of June 2026, a Mexico (MX) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Kuwait visa-free, on visa-on-arrival, or via the standard eVisa. Kuwait grants visa-on-arrival (and previously eVisa) only to 53 designated countries and territories - all EU/EEA states plus countries such as the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Turkey. Mexico is NOT on that list. In addition, Kuwait temporarily suspended its online eVisa platform around December 2024 for system upgrades, with no confirmed resumption, narrowing options further. Consequently, Mexican tourists must obtain an entry/visit visa in advance. In practice this is sponsored: a Kuwaiti host (relative/friend, employer, tour operator, or hotel) initiates a visit-visa application through Kuwait's Ministry of Interior, or the traveler applies at a Kuwaiti embassy/consulate with a supporting invitation/NOC. Passports must be valid at least 6 months. Because requirements are sponsor-dependent and the eVisa status can change, travelers should confirm directly with the nearest Kuwaiti diplomatic mission and their airline before booking. Verdict: visa-required.
