Do Mexico passport holders need a visa to visit India?

Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa for India, but can apply fully online for an e-Tourist Visa before travel — no embassy visit required. Mexico is on India's e-Visa eligible list, so ordinary passport holders do not need to visit an embassy to obtain a tourist visa. You apply online at the official indianvisaonline.gov.in portal, upload a passport scan and photo, pay the fee by card, and receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by email — typically within 3-5 business days. Print the ETA and present it on arrival; immigration officers issue the actual visa sticker/stamp at the airport. The e-Tourist Visa comes in three durations: 30 days (double entry), 1 year (multiple entry), and 5 years (multiple entry), the latter two capped at 180 days of stay per calendar year. Entry under the e-Visa is limited to designated international airports and seaports. Apply at least 4 days before departure (the system accepts applications up to 30 days ahead for the 30-day visa). This replaces the older paper Visa-on-Arrival scheme — Mexicans now use the streamlined online ETA process.
