Mexico to India visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders need an Indian visa before travel; for tourism, business, medical treatment and several other short visits they can usually apply online through India's official e-Visa portal. Mexico is listed on India's official e-Visa eligible-nationality page. Mexican ordinary passport holders should apply only at indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa, upload the passport bio page and photo, pay online, and wait for the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to be granted before travel. For tourism, India offers a 30-day e-Tourist Visa, a 1-year e-Tourist Visa and a 5-year e-Tourist Visa; the official FAQ states the 30-day e-Tourist Visa is valid for 30 days from first arrival with double entry, while the 1-year and 5-year e-Tourist Visas are multiple-entry and the maximum stay in India during one calendar year must not exceed 180 days. The 2026 official Mexico e-Tourist fees are USD 10 for 30-day travel in April-June, USD 25 for 30-day travel in July-March, USD 40 for 1 year and USD 200 for 5 years, plus bank charges up to 3%. Business and medical trips use separate e-Business or e-Medical categories, not the tourist category: Mexico's official e-Business fee is USD 120, and e-Medical/e-Medical Attendant fees are USD 80. Apply at least 4 days before arrival; the 30-day tourist application window opens 30 days before travel, while 1-year/5-year tourist, business and medical e-Visas can be applied for up to 120 days before travel. The passport must have at least six months validity at application and two blank pages, and travelers need onward/return travel and sufficient funds. e-Visa holders must arrive through designated airports or seaports, biometrics are captured on arrival, and e-Visas are non-extendable and non-convertible.

No. You must apply online and wait for the ETA/e-Visa to be granted before travel. The ETA is checked and stamped on arrival, but arriving without prior approval is not the same as visa on arrival.
