Mexico to The Gambia visa requirements

Yes. Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit The Gambia. Mexico is not on any of The Gambia's visa-exemption lists, and visa-on-arrival is not offered to Mexican nationals. You must obtain a visa in advance from a Gambian diplomatic mission (the Consulate General of The Gambia in Mexico City). The Gambia exempts citizens of African Union, ECOWAS and Commonwealth states, the EU/Schengen area (plus the UK, Switzerland, Nordic, Baltic and Balkan states), and a few specific countries such as the UAE and Turkey. Mexico appears on none of these lists, and unlike France, Spain, Portugal and the United States, Mexico is not among the nationalities granted visa-on-arrival. There is no online eVisa for Mexican passport holders. Accordingly, a Mexican tourist must apply for an ordinary entry visa in advance through a Gambian embassy, high commission or consulate; the Consulate General of The Gambia in Mexico City is the local point of application. The visa is endorsed/affixed in the passport. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and proof of onward/return travel is required. Separately, all arriving and departing passengers (visa-exempt or not) pay a Securiport fee of about USD 20 (D1,000) on entry and on departure.
