Mexico to Georgia visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders can enter Georgia visa-free for tourism and stay up to 1 year (365 days). No visa or pre-arrival authorization is needed. Since 1 January 2026, all visitors must hold valid travel medical insurance (min. 30,000 GEL coverage). Georgia operates one of the world's most generous visa policies. Holders of an ordinary Mexican passport are on Georgia's direct visa-exempt list and may enter for tourism, business, or visiting friends/relatives without any visa, eVisa, or electronic travel authorization, staying for up to one full year (365 days) per entry. Georgia is NOT part of the Schengen Area or the European Union (it is an EU candidate country), so the Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule and ETIAS do not apply here. Recent 2024-2026 policy adjustments tightened entry only for a group of roughly 17 nationalities that previously qualified indirectly through Gulf (GCC) visas or residence permits; Mexico is unaffected as it qualifies directly by nationality. The one new requirement relevant to Mexican travelers is the travel medical insurance mandate that took effect 1 January 2026: every foreign national must hold travel health insurance valid for the full stay with minimum coverage of 30,000 GEL (about USD 11,000). Travelers simply need a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of insurance, and standard supporting documents that a border officer may request (onward ticket, accommodation, sufficient funds).
