Mexico to Estonia visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders can travel to Estonia visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, as Estonia is part of the Schengen Area and Mexico is on the EU visa-exemption list. No visa is required as of 2026-06-01. ETIAS travel authorisation is launching but is not yet mandatory. Estonia is a member of the Schengen Area, and Mexico appears on the EU/Schengen list of countries whose nationals are exempt from short-stay visa requirements. The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that Mexican ordinary passport holders do not need a visa for stays of no more than 90 days in any 180-day period for tourism, business, family visits, or transit. Travelers simply present a valid passport at the external Schengen border. The 90/180 rule is cumulative across the entire Schengen Area, not per country, so days spent in any Schengen state count toward the same allowance. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is being rolled out for visa-exempt nationals including Mexicans. As of June 2026 ETIAS is in or approaching its launch/transitional phase and is NOT yet mandatory; once fully in force (expected to become obligatory around 2027 after transitional and grace periods), Mexican travelers will need an approved ETIAS authorisation (EUR 20, valid up to 3 years) before boarding. The separate Entry/Exit System (EES) registers biometric data at the border but does not require any pre-application. Until ETIAS becomes mandatory, a valid biometric passport is the only document required. The verdict for a current short tourist stay is visa-free.
