Mexico to Dominican Republic visa requirements

No visa required. Mexican ordinary passport holders can enter the Dominican Republic visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days. The US$10 tourist-card fee is already included in your airfare for air arrivals; you only pay it separately if arriving by land or sea. You must complete the free online eTicket before arrival and departure. Mexico is on the Dominican Republic's visa-exemption list, so a Mexican ordinary passport holder needs no visa for a short tourist visit. Entry is granted for up to 30 days, extendable to 120 days for a fee paid at departure. Since April 2018, the tourist card is no longer a separate purchase for air travelers, the US$10 tourism/tourist-card fee is bundled into airfare for tickets issued outside the country; only land or sea arrivals buy the US$10/EUR10 card on arrival. All travelers (entry and exit) must complete the free electronic eTicket form at eticket.migracion.gob.do. A passport valid for the duration of stay is required; while a 6-month validity is the general standard, the Dominican Republic recommends at least 6 months to avoid airline boarding issues. Travelers should also carry proof of onward/return travel, a local address, and proof of sufficient funds. The Dominican Republic is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
