Do South Korea passport holders need a visa to visit PL?
No visa needed. South Korean ordinary passport holders can enter Poland visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, as Poland is in the Schengen Area. Poland is a full member of the Schengen Area, and South Korea is on the EU's visa-exempt list for short stays. As a South Korean ordinary passport holder, you may travel to Poland for tourism, business, or transit without a visa for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. This 90-day allowance is shared across ALL Schengen countries combined, not per country. As of 2026-05-30, no electronic authorization is yet required: ETIAS (the EU travel authorization for visa-exempt nationals) has been confirmed for launch in late 2026 (Q4) and only becomes mandatory in 2027, so it is NOT needed for trips taken now. Once ETIAS goes live you will need to apply online (around EUR 7, valid 3 years) before traveling. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your intended date of departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the previous 10 years. The EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) is rolling out biometric registration at external borders in 2026, so a biometric (chip) passport is strongly recommended.
