South Korea to United Kingdom visa requirements

UK ETA required since 8 January 2025. It currently costs GBP 20 and allows multiple short visits of up to 6 months. South Korean ordinary passport holders need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to visit the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey, or the Isle of Man for short stays. South Korea is on GOV.UK's ETA-eligible nationality list, and the ETA requirement has applied to South Korean visitors since 8 January 2025. The ETA currently costs GBP 20, is valid for 2 years or until passport expiry, and allows multiple entries with up to 6 months per visit for tourism, visiting family, short business activities, short study, or other permitted visitor reasons. Most app applicants receive an automatic decision in minutes, but GOV.UK says to allow up to 3 working days and to wait for the approval email before travelling. An ETA does not guarantee entry, and paid work, living in the UK through frequent visits, marriage/civil partnership notice, or stays over 6 months require the correct visa. Landside airport transit needs an ETA; airside transit without UK border control does not currently need one.
