Do South Korea passport holders need a visa to visit NO?

South Korean ordinary passport holders can visit Norway visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism. Norway is part of the Schengen Area, and South Korea (Republic of Korea) is on Norway's visa-exempt list maintained by the UDI immigration authority. As of 2026-05-30, holders of an ordinary South Korean passport may enter Norway and the wider Schengen Area for tourism or short visits without a visa, for a maximum of 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. No visa, eVisa, or pre-travel authorization is required to be filed at this time. Two changes affect the practical process: the Entry/Exit System (EES) is now operational, so non-EU visitors register biometric data (facial image and fingerprints) at the external border in place of a passport stamp; and the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is expected to begin in the last quarter of 2026. Once ETIAS is live, visa-exempt travelers including South Koreans will need an approved ETIAS authorization (€20, valid 3 years) before boarding, but it is NOT yet required as of this date. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from Schengen, proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, and accommodation details.
