South Korean ordinary passport holders can visit Montenegro visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism, family visits, or business. Montenegro independently applies a 90/180 stay rule that mirrors the Schengen formula but is counted separately. Your passport should be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure (carrying 6 months is the safer practice) and have a blank page. While no visa is needed, border officers may ask for proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, sufficient funds, and travel/medical insurance. All visitors must be registered with the local police/tourist authority within 24 hours of arrival; hotels and licensed accommodation handle this automatically, but private hosts must register guests in person. To stay beyond 90 days you must apply for a temporary residence permit before the limit is reached.
