South Korea to Equatorial Guinea visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to visit Equatorial Guinea for tourism. Apply online before travel through the official VFS Global portal, pay the fee, and arrive via Malabo International Airport. As of mid-2026, holders of an ordinary South Korean (KR) passport do NOT have visa-free access to Equatorial Guinea (GQ). Equatorial Guinea launched its electronic visa (eVisa) system on 1 July 2023, operated through VFS Global, and this is the route for South Korean tourists. Only South Korean diplomatic, official, and service passport holders enjoy visa-free entry of up to 90 days; ordinary passport holders must obtain an eVisa in advance. The tourist eVisa is single-entry, generally valid for and allowing a stay of up to 30 days, and costs about USD 75. Travelers using an eVisa must enter through Malabo International Airport. Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate is typically required. Because Equatorial Guinea is in Central Africa, the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
