South Korea to The Gambia visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter The Gambia. South Korea is not on The Gambia's visa-exempt list; it is in the category of nationalities that must obtain entry clearance / a visa from Gambian Immigration before travel. The Gambia grants 90-day visa-free entry to citizens of the African Union, Commonwealth, EU and EFTA member states, plus a short list of other countries. South Korea is not on any of these lists. Instead, South Korea falls into The Gambia's "entry clearance only" category, meaning Korean travelers must obtain a visa/entry clearance from a Gambian diplomatic mission (or the Gambia Immigration Department) before traveling. Only France, Portugal, Spain and the United States can get a visa on arrival, and Korea is not among them. The one narrow exception is tourists arriving on an organised charter flight, who are admitted without prior visa or entry clearance; an independent traveler flying scheduled services cannot rely on this. The Gambia has no resident embassy in Seoul, so applications are typically lodged at the nearest accredited Gambian mission (e.g., in another regional capital) or arranged through a tour operator/the Immigration Department. All arrivals and departures also pay a USD 20 (or equivalent) airport security fee, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required. Given the absence of a confirmed visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for Korea, the conservative and correct verdict is visa-required.
