South Korea to Ghana visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders need a visa for Ghana. As of May 25, 2026, Ghana operates an official national e-Visa portal (evisa.immigration.gov.gh) where Koreans can apply online for a tourist visa, or apply through the Ghana Embassy in Seoul. Ghana is not visa-free for South Korean ordinary passport holders, and there is no mutual visa-waiver agreement. A visa must be obtained before travel. Since 25 May 2026, the Ghana Immigration Service operates an official national e-Visa platform at evisa.immigration.gov.gh, which accepts applicants from 190+ countries including South Korea. Travelers complete the form online, upload documents (passport bio page, photo, yellow fever certificate, accommodation and return flight proof), pay online, and receive the approved e-Visa by email, typically within 72-96 hours under standard processing. The single-entry tourist visa fee for non-African travelers is about USD 260 (standard), with priority and express tiers available. Alternatively, the Ghana Embassy in Seoul still issues paper visas (single entry 1 month 80,000 KRW up to 1 year 150,000 KRW). Single-entry tourist visas are valid 90 days from issuance; immigration officers typically grant up to 60 days of stay at the port of entry. A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry, and biometric (fingerprint) capture is performed on arrival. The verdict is "evisa" as the most practical channel for a short tourist visit. Travelers should confirm eligibility and current fees on the official portal before applying.
