South Korea to Ecuador visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Ecuador. You get a visa-free Tourist (T-3) entry of up to 90 days, counted within a rolling 12-month period. As of 2026, South Korea ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Ecuador for tourism, transit and short visits. On arrival at an Ecuadorian airport or land border you receive a Tourist Stamp (T-3) granting up to 90 days of stay. Crucially, the 90 days are cumulative within a rolling 12-month ("chronological year") period, not per visit — multiple short trips draw from the same 90-day allowance, and exceeding it can result in fines. Ecuador is in South America and is not part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. There is no eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival step for short tourist stays; the free 90-day stamp is issued at immigration. You should carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of onward/return travel, evidence of sufficient funds and accommodation details, as immigration officers may request these. Stays beyond 90 days in a 12-month window require a visa obtained in advance or an extension/change of status inside Ecuador.
