South Korea to Dominican Republic visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in the Dominican Republic. They may enter visa-free for up to 30 days (extendable), and South Korea is one of the few nationalities exempt from the US$10 tourist card fee. A free online E-Ticket must still be completed before arrival. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary South Korean passport enjoy visa-free entry to the Dominican Republic for short tourist visits of up to 30 days, which can be extended at the immigration office (Migracion) for a fee. South Korea is specifically named on the Dominican exemption list, so Korean travelers do NOT pay the standard US$10 tourist card fee that most other nationalities incur. There is no visa application, embassy appointment, or visa fee involved. The only mandatory pre-arrival step is the free electronic entry/exit form (E-Ticket) at eticket.migracion.gob.do, which generates a QR code shown at check-in and on arrival; it should be completed within 72 hours of travel (it can be filled out earlier). Standard documentary requirements apply: a passport with at least six months' validity, an onward/return ticket, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds. The Dominican Republic is in the Caribbean and is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. A US$20 departure tax exists but is normally bundled into the airfare.
