Do South Korea passport holders need a visa to visit CZ?
No visa needed. South Korean ordinary passport holders can enter Czechia (a Schengen country) visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. As of 30 May 2026, holders of an ordinary South Korean passport do not need a visa to visit Czechia for tourism or short business. Czechia is part of the Schengen Area, and South Korea is on the Schengen visa-exemption list, allowing stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the whole Schengen zone. No advance authorization is required to enter today. Two changes are arriving: the biometric Entry/Exit System (EES) has been operational since 10 April 2026 and registers your fingerprints and photo at the external border (free, automatic, no application). The ETIAS travel authorization is expected to start in the last quarter of 2026 and will become mandatory in 2027 — once enforced, visa-exempt travelers including South Koreans will need an approved ETIAS (EUR 20, valid 3 years) before boarding. For a trip taking place now, you only need a valid passport; ETIAS is not yet required.
