South Korea to Canada visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders need a CAD 7 eTA for flights or airport transit to Canada; no visitor visa is required for short tourism. Land and sea arrivals generally need only a valid passport. South Korean ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt for short visits to Canada. For air travel, including transit through a Canadian airport, they must obtain a Canadian eTA before boarding and travel with the passport used for the eTA. The eTA costs CAD 7, is electronically linked to the passport, and is valid for up to 5 years or until that passport expires. With a valid eTA, Canada normally allows short stays of up to 6 months at a time, but admission and the authorized stay are decided by a border services officer. Travellers arriving by car, bus, train, or boat generally do not need an eTA; a valid passport is still required. Visa-exempt tourists do not give biometrics for a visit-only trip. The eTA does not authorize work or study. For work, study, IEC, or other longer-term purposes, apply for the relevant IRCC authorization; South Korean youth mobility eligibility is now 18-35 under the Canada-South Korea arrangement.
