🇰🇷SOUTH KOREA🇨🇦CANADAKR-CA Do South Korea passport holders need a visa to visit Canada?
Canadian eTA required (CAD 7). Visa-free entry up to 6 months at port of entry discretion. Korean ordinary passport holders are visa-waiver eligible for Canada and enter visa-free for up to 6 months per visit (at the CBSA officer's discretion at port of entry), but must hold a valid Canadian eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before boarding any flight to Canada. The eTA costs CAD 7, is electronically linked to the passport, and is valid for up to 5 years or until the passport expires (whichever comes first). The application is fully online at the official IRCC website, typically approved in minutes. eTA is required only for air travel into Canada. The 6-month visitor visa stamp is decided by CBSA at the airport, not at the eTA application. Korea also has access to Canada's International Experience Canada (IEC) Working Holiday Visa scheme for ages 18-30. For longer stays, work, or study a paper visa is required.
