Japan to Indonesia visa requirements

Japanese ordinary passport holders need Indonesia's Visa on Arrival (VoA) or e-VOA for short tourism or business visits. It costs IDR 500,000, allows 30 days, and can be extended once for another 30 days. Japanese ordinary passport holders are not visa-free for ordinary short visits to Indonesia. Japan appears on Indonesian Immigration's e-VOA/VoA eligible-country list, so travellers may either apply online before departure through the official eVisa portal or buy a Visa on Arrival at eligible Indonesian ports. The visitor visa is single-entry, costs IDR 500,000, grants a 30-day stay from arrival, and can be extended once for another 30 days. It covers tourism, family/friend visits, government visits, business meetings, goods purchasing, shopping, MICE attendance, and transit, but not paid employment or acting as a paid speaker. Travellers need a passport valid at least 6 months from arrival, an outbound ticket from Indonesia, sufficient funds if asked, and the free All Indonesia digital arrival card, which integrates immigration, customs, health, and quarantine declarations. Bali arrivals also need the separate IDR 150,000 Bali tourist levy.
