Japan to Guyana visa requirements

Japanese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to enter Guyana for tourism. Japan is on Guyana's visa-exemption list and may stay visa-free for up to 90 days. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for a short tourist visit. Guyana grants visa-free entry to Japanese ordinary passport holders for tourism and short visits of up to 90 days. Travelers simply present a valid passport on arrival, clear immigration, and may be asked for proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry and have at least one blank page. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required only if arriving from or transiting (within 6 days) a yellow fever endemic country. Guyana is located in South America and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Guyana has announced it is developing an electronic visa (eVisa) system, but as of mid-2026 visa-free entry remains in effect for Japanese nationals and no eVisa is required for them.
