Japan to Cameroon visa requirements

A Japanese ordinary passport holder needs a visa to enter Cameroon, and the standard route is the official Cameroon eVisa, applied for online before travel at evisacam.cm. There is no visa on arrival for ordinary passports. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. Japan is not on Cameroon's short list of visa-exempt countries (which covers only certain neighboring African states), so Japanese tourists must obtain a visa in advance. Since the 2023 reform, Cameroon runs a centralized electronic visa system on the official government portal (evisacam.cm). Travelers complete the application and pay online, then biometrics are captured and the visa is finalized on arrival at the airport. Visa on arrival is not available to ordinary passport holders, and there is no visa-free or visa-waiver agreement between Japan and Cameroon. For tourism, applicants choose a short-stay visa, valid up to 6 months with stays up to 90 days. Standard processing is about 72 hours; an express 24-hour option costs more. A valid International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever is required for entry, with the dose administered at least 10 days before arrival, and the passport must be valid at least 6 months with a blank page.
