Italy to Luxembourg visa requirements

No visa. As an EU citizen, an Italian passport holder enjoys full freedom of movement and can travel to Luxembourg for any length of stay using just a valid Italian passport or national ID card. No visa, ETIAS, or 90/180-day limit applies. Both Italy and Luxembourg are members of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Under EU freedom of movement rules (Directive 2004/38/EC), Italian citizens have the right to enter, live, work, and stay in Luxembourg without any visa, residence permit, or time limit. Travel is permitted on either a valid Italian passport or a national identity card, and internal Schengen borders normally have no routine passport checks (though spot identity checks can occur). The Schengen 90/180-day short-stay rule does NOT apply to EU citizens exercising free movement; it governs only non-EU visitors.
