Italy to The Gambia visa requirements

No visa required. Italian passport holders can enter The Gambia visa-free for tourism for stays of up to 90 days as EU citizens. As a full member of the European Union, Italy benefits from The Gambia's visa-waiver policy for EU citizens. Italian ordinary passport holders may enter The Gambia without a visa for tourism or business for stays not exceeding 90 days, as confirmed by the official Government of The Gambia entry-requirements page and the published visa policy. There is no eVisa system for The Gambia (the country does not operate an electronic visa portal). Travelers should hold a passport valid for at least six months, evidence of onward/return travel, and be prepared to show a yellow fever vaccination certificate, which The Gambia's official guidance states is required of arriving visitors. Travelers arriving from yellow-fever-risk countries must hold a certificate; those arriving directly from Italy (a non-risk country) should still carry one as the requirement is commonly enforced at Banjul. Note: this route does not involve the Schengen area on the destination side, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply to entering The Gambia.
