Italy to Brunei visa requirements

Italian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Brunei. They may enter visa-free for stays of up to 90 days, but must register for a free E-Arrival Card online before arrival. As of June 2026, Italy is on Brunei's visa-exemption list for ordinary passport holders, granting visa-free entry for tourism and short visits of up to 90 days - one of the most generous brackets Brunei offers (the same as other EU states, the UK, USA and Canada). No visa, eVisa or visa-on-arrival is required for this stay. The passport must have at least six months' validity. The only mandatory pre-arrival formality is the free electronic E-Arrival Card, which all travelers must complete and have approved before entering Brunei by air, land or sea. Immigration officers may still ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket, proof of accommodation and evidence of sufficient funds; visa-free status does not guarantee admission, which remains at the officer's discretion. Brunei is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route (Brunei has its own independent immigration regime).
