Italy to Burkina Faso visa requirements

Italian passport holders need a visa for Burkina Faso. The recommended route is the official eVisa, applied for online before travel via visaburkina.bf. Visa-on-arrival now exists only in exceptional cases, so secure the eVisa in advance. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. An Italy (IT) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Burkina Faso visa-free for tourism. Burkina Faso is not in the Schengen area, so the EU 90/180 rule and ETIAS are irrelevant here. Visa-on-arrival is technically still possible but, per the Burkina Faso authorities, is now issued only in exceptional circumstances, so travelers should obtain the eVisa before departure. Mandatory entry conditions include a passport valid at least six months, a yellow fever vaccination certificate (International Certificate of Vaccination), proof of accommodation (hotel booking), and proof of onward/return travel.
