India to Uganda visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Uganda. The standard route is the online eVisa (Tourist Visa, single entry) applied for at the official portal visas.immigration.go.ug before travel. There is no visa-on-arrival and no visa-free entry for ordinary Indian passports. A holder of an ordinary Indian passport must obtain an electronic visa (eVisa) before traveling to Uganda for tourism. Uganda discontinued visa-on-arrival for most nationalities and now requires all visitors to apply online in advance through the government Electronic Visa/Permit Application System at visas.immigration.go.ug. The single-entry Tourist Visa costs USD 50, permits a stay of up to 90 days, and the approval letter is typically issued within 2-5 business days by email. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry into Uganda. Travelers planning to also visit Kenya and Rwanda can instead apply for the East Africa Tourist Visa (USD 100, multiple entry, 90 days), but must enter the region through the issuing country. Only diplomatic and service passport holders from India enjoy visa-free access (up to 3 months); ordinary passport holders do not. Travelers should apply only through the official portal, as numerous look-alike commercial sites charge inflated processing fees.
